Policy On Employees Punctuality

The purpose of this Time management Policy is to establish clear expectations regarding employee arrival times and to promote a culture of punctuality and accountability within the company. This policy aims to ensure operational efficiency, maintain professional standards, and support a productive work environment. It provides a structured framework for addressing instances of tardiness, outlining the procedures and consequences to encourage timely attendance. All employees are expected to adhere to this policy to foster consistency, fairness, and mutual respect in the workplace.

1. Arrival Time Limit:

All employees are expected to arrive at work no later than 03:00:00 local time (LT).

2. Consequences of Late Arrival:

  • 03:00:00 LT to 03:29:59 LT: Oral warning.
  • 03:30:00 LT and later: Written warning.

3. Progressive Discipline:

  • Multiple Late Arrivals: Employees with more than two late arrivals consecutively or not will be issued a written warning.
  • Second Written Warning: Employees who have previously received a written warning and are late again will receive a second written warning.
  • Final Written Warning: Employees with a second written warning and continued tardiness will receive a final written warning, outlining a specific timeframe for improvement in punctuality.
  • Termination: Failure to demonstrate improved punctuality within the specified timeframe will result in termination of employment, subject to the applicable notice period as outlined in the [Company Policy/E.

Important Considerations for Implementation:

  • Clear Definition of “Late Arrival”: This policy clearly define what constitutes a late arrival as mentioned above on section 2.
  • Documentation: All instances of late arrival, warnings, and the final warning should be meticulously documented in the employee’s personnel file.
  • Communication: This policy is communicated to all employees in writing, clearly outlining the policy, timelines, and consequences.
  • Consistency: This policy is enforced consistently across all departments and employee levels.
  • Fairness: This policy is applied fairly and impartially
  • Remark: All work related issues such as meeting with clients, acquiring a new client…etc. that requires the physical presence of an employee shall be officially communicated in advance to their direct manager and PM considering the above mentioned conditions are assessed based on the presence or absences of an employee at the office.
